2 Scene 14:24 Individualism and collectivism
In this scene , Toad eats with his left hand . He also take some food and puts it in his mouth . He tries to put his fingers back in the dish although he puts them in his mouth . These actions are not appropriate according to the Indian culture but they seem to be alright in American culture . As both the Indian women and her husband were not comfortable , Tod’s Indian assisstant was not happy as well , He tries to explain to Toad that eating with left hand is not lolerable in India as it is not clean .

3 Scene 38:37 HIGH CONTEXT CULTURE vs LOW CONTEXT CULTURE
In this scene , Toad was very surprised to be hit by colored powder during the dilwali celebration . In a society where people has low context culture like america , it is difficult for a strange person to mix up with the group . It is example of indulgence versus restraint. However , in a high context Culture society like india , it is rather for a stranger to mix up quickly with the people. Toad is an example when he joined the people throwing colors on them .

4 Scene 46:16 Individualism and collectivism
In a low context culture society like America , people don’t have a strong family relationships , puro asked toad ”don’t you live with your parents ? ” He was aslonished at tod’s answer . This is an example of Individualism and collectivism . In a high context culture society like India , family relationship is very strong . Individualism is rated (43) in India as compare to (91) in America .

5 Scene 1:10 Long-term versus short-term orientation
In this scene , Aisha was with toad . They talked about personal affair . Aisha has been engaged With ashock since her childhood . She dosen’t love him but she is going to marry him . However , it seems that she and toad are falling in love with each other , although they love been together for a short time . Here is an example of short – term orientation .

6 Scene 1:14 HIGH CONTEXT CULTURE vs LOW CONTEXT CULTURE
The Indian supervisor of the dying factory invites toad to his house although they don’t know each other . This happens only in a society with high context culture . For Toad it was big surprise . He never imagines this to happens in a low context culture like American where you invite a stranger and make him join the family member especially females for the first time .
