NATO Table Top Exercise on CEIP-2016
After the request of the NATO Emerging Security Challenges Division, the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence scheduled to organize the Second NATO Table Top Exercise on the Protection of Critical Energy Infrastructure. The first TTX was held in 2014 with participants from NATO Nations and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) countries.
The Table Top Exercise serves as an opportunity for stakeholders to assess and develop their plans and procedures, share information and best practice, increase awareness, and enhance coordination between all responsible institutions. We are planning to organize biannually…………….

Exercise Name: Table Top Exercise on Critical Energy Infrastructure Protection – 2016 (TTX on CEIP-2016)
Theme: Protection of
Electrical Infrastructure
Region: Baltic Sea Region
Scenario: Skolkan Scenario
In order to raise awareness of critical energy infrastructure protection the theme of the exercise is ’’protection of electrical infrastructure“. The Baltic Sea Region, particularly the Baltic Countries, have been selected as a pilot region
in which the scenario will take place in accordance with identified threats (terrorism, sabotage, cyber-attack, information and hybrid warfare). We used NATO Skolkan Scenario which is used in NATO NRF Exercises as well

Exercise Aim:
To support national authorities in building resilience through improved emergency preparedness, planning, prevention, response and strengthen their capability to protect critical energy infrastructure and contribute to the development of NATO’s competence in supporting the protection of critical energy infrastructure.

First day of the exercise we had informative presentations from the experts and scenario introduce to the participants
Second and third day day the participants was divided into syndicates based on identified threats; terrorism and sabotage, cyber-attack, and information warfare (hybrid warfare and STRATCOM). During the syndicate participants discussed prevention and protection measures, and developed solutions and decided how to respond to incidents which are injected based on the the scenario
