The learners will be presented with the learning objectives. The Instructional designer will have learners read the learning objectives. The instructional designer will then accommodate any questions or concerns the learners might have regarding the objectives. The text should be in black using Time New Romans letter style in font 20 using a wipe transition with the voltage sound effect. 3 Overall Project Design
Topic: Using Google Apps and Clicker Activities to Enhance Reading Lessons Design choices: The main purpose of this training is to provide clear instructions as to how teachers can utilize technology in their reading lessons to enhance the teaching/learning environment. The instructional designer believes that students are more interested and captivated in lessons that incorporate the use of technology and also give them the opportunity to be involved in their learning. The topic of this Learning Design Project is Using Google Apps and Clicker Activities to enhance reading lessons. The target audience is Elementary school educators of reading. The Headings for all pages will be in Time New Roman, Font 48 in various colors indicated on each slide. The text will also be in Time New Romans in font 20. A representative image will be presented under heading just before the text. This slide will present a high-level overview of your project. The module title should be entered into the Project Title space. This should be the title that displays at the beginning of your module. In the Project Purpose area, describe the intended purpose of the module, why is it being developed and for whom. In the Design Choices section, clearly describe the color choices that will make up the design of the module. Include colors for background, fonts, shapes (like headers and navigational areas), hyperlinks, buttons, and any other decorative elements that might be included. Hex numbers can be found at Next, include the font style names you will use in your design. Indicate the name, color, and font size for each element. You will need to identify choices for titles, content text, navigation text, and button text (if applicable). In the Navigation section, describe how users will navigate through your module. Indicate if there will be a navigation pane and where on the page it should be located. If there will be button navigation, describe the buttons and where they are located on each page. Navigation should be consistent from page to page throughout the module. In the Additional Developer Notes section, provide any additional information that might be necessary such as the need to record voice-overs for several slides or additional graphic or multimedia development that might be needed. Each slide will have its own transition and sound effect. The user will talk briefly about each slide before clicking to the next one.

4 What are Google Applications?

Google Applications are web-based and collaborative software that includes; Google Talk, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Videos and, Google Cloud Connect. The word “app” is an abbreviation for application and it is also the same thing as a program. Google refers to their online services as apps, but they also sell a specific suite of services known as Google Apps and have an application hosting service called Google App Engine. 5 What are Clicker Activities?

Clicker as the name suggest is something that can click. The Clicker activities give learners point-and-click access to whole words, phrases, and pictures and they can help to develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. These activities are available online. URL for Image The instructional designer will also elaborate on what is on this slide, then ask the learners to share what they know about or understand from the definition of clicker activities.

6 Accessing Google Applications
Content Slide # 3 Accessing Google Applications First you need to be connected to the internet, using a preferred web browser, such as; Firefox, Google chrome and Safari. Go to Google.com, then search for Google Apps for Education Select the official site then click get Apps today. Complete the about you and your institution section, then click on “ use my own domain.” Sign up by creating your username and password Google will send you a confirmation You will then be able to access Google applications and create organizations for different groups of students. The image below should be placed beside the heading. The heading should be in Time New Romans font 48 and italicized in Color Hex number 89a647 . The text should be in black using Time New Romans letter style in font 20 using a wipe transition with the voltage sound effect. Each bullet will be presented one at a time using the click sound effect. URL for image. At this point, the learners will be using the laptops provided or their personal laptops to access Google Applications, following through the instructions step by step. The instructional designer will be moving around at this time, providing assistance or guidance where needed. As soon as the learners have successfully signed up for Google Applications, the instructional designer will walker the learners through utilizing the different applications that can be utilized in their classrooms. 7 Accessing Clicker Activities

Like in Google Apps, you need to be connected to the internet, using a preferred web browser, such as; Firefox, Google chrome and Safari. Go to Google.com, then search for Clicker Activities for Education Select the official clicker 6 website then click register for the program After you have register, Google will send you a confirmation As soon as you are registered for the program you will be able to access Clicker 6 trial versions and decide later if you or your institution would want to purchase the full version. The learners will also use their laptops to access Clicker software, following through the instructions step by step given by the instructional designer. The instructional designer will move around to provide assistance where needed. As soon as the learners have successfully signed up for the Clicker software, the instructional designer will guide the learners through finding activities suitable for their lessons/topics. As it relates to this slide presentation, each bullet will be presented one at a time using the click sound effect as each bullet is presented. The following is the URL for the slide’s image. A Youtube video on using Google Applications in Education will be presented to the learners at this point of the presentation. The learners will gain insights and hear success stories from other educators who have utilize Google Applications in their classrooms.. The learners will be given an opportunity to share their thoughts on the video presentation and also to talk about how they think they can use Google Applications to enhance their reading lessons.

The learners will view the YouTube video presentation in this slide that speaks to how teachers utilize Clicker 6 in their Reading lesson. After the video presentation, the learners will be given an opportunity to share their thoughts on the video presentation and also to talk about how they think they can use Clicker Activities in their reading lessons.

Name the Clicker software that you will use in your classroom. 4). Describe how you would use a Google Application and a Clicker Activity to teach a lesson in reading. On screen content (What will display on this screen?) Include any proposed images for drag and drop type activities. Use this slide for any assessment activities such as quizzes or tests or other types of interactions that require immediate feedback. In the Assessment Slide number section, indicate the slide or page number to include the section in which the assessment will be placed (ie. Assessment Slide 1.5). Include the Assessment Title as it will display on the assessment slide or page. In the On Screen Content area, provide the instructions to complete the activity and describe or demonstrate the question layout or display (ie. 4 multiple choice questions using a vertical placement). If the assessment is a drag and drop activity using images, provide the images that should be used including source URLs if appropriate. In the Question Text area, provide the specific questions that should display for this assessment. Indicate whether the questions should display in a certain order or if they may display in a random order. In the Feedback section, provide both positive (correct) and corrective (incorrect) feedback for each question. Indicate whether the questions and feedback should be narrated or text-based only. Also indicate if learners should be referred to review slides/pages upon incorrect responses. Indicate a minimum passing score if appropriate and which slide/page the learner should arrive at upon successful completion of the activity. In the formative assessment, the learners will be observed throughout the training to find out how much they have learnt from the presentation. They will also be given the opportunity to demonstrate how they will use the new strategies in their reading lessons. The learners will be given a copy of the power point presentation for future referencing. Responses to Question #1- Google videos and Google Calendar- Question # 2- Listening, speaking and writing- Question# 3- Crick Software- Question #4- Responses that demonstrate understanding of content.
