1 Youth campaign project: women's rights
By Aisha, Daniela, Andrada & Harmeet

2 Why is it so important to us?
This idea has captured our attention as, we have reads many articles in which the numbers of sex slaves and human trafficking were rather shocking. We all believe that this is not right, and it should soon stop. If you knew that 2,880 women are trafficked in 24 hours wouldn’t you want to prevent it from happening?

3 What is our idea? We will be talking about Sex Slavery, and the legal action towards this crime. Many times, women are kidnaped and transported from Europe to UK and used as sex slaves. Police and authorities have identified 3,266 people were victims of modern slavery compared with 946 in This is a front line issue for a few days, after which the situation is forgotten. We want to make this a permanent front line issue, so that this issue can soon be resolved. So what can we do in order to reduce Sex Slavery?

4 The Target audience Government:
To inforce more laws within sex trafficking and pay more attention to what people are doing within the sex trade. Young women (10+)- To anyone who is involved or thinks it’s a good way to get money, we want them to understand it’s not right and that there are other ways Men:  (16+)who chose to get involved in the sex trafficking- What they’re doing is effecting a persons life and you have a negative impact, our main aim: to stop them. Ethnicity and Gender: No specific ethnicity or gender involved.  Local communities: To raise awareness in places like London and not to go to broad Fathers: To support their daughters.

5 Primary research The interview questions for Corey:
What do you think about the idea of sex trafficking as a whole?   Do you think sex trafficking effects women's image  and why?  Do you think its right to do this for loved ones?  Do you think that girls who do it voluntarily are disgusting or could there be a reason behind it?  Ways to stop sex trafficking (Website reports) Websites used: Glob giving- end slavery now & Walkfree.org Reporting anything suspicious Investigations from the police Company's that teach people about the indicators of sex trafficking and help identify the victim Raise awareness by joining local community groups Fund raisers Include it in education To provide jobs for trafficking survivors  Journalists could talk more about it because the media plays a massive role

6 Secondary research Here's the story of Posie
According to the BBC and the Mirror: 1: Overall, the agency says there has been a 22% jump in the number of identified suspected victims of trafficking between 2012 and 2013. Here's the story of Posie 6: survey by the NUM foundation and Leeds University found 71% of the sex workers who took part had previously worked in health, social care, education, childcare or the charity sector. 4: Children as young as 1 from the UK who go on holiday to European countries have a 1/3 chance of being sold off as a sex worker. An example of this is a women named Megan who went to Greece and was forced into sex slavery by her ‘boyfriend’ Jak. Now 20 she states that in her whole 6 years of being held captive ‘her lowest point was being raped by 110 men in a single day, who paid £20 to spend five minutes with her’ 2: Efforts to eradicate modern slavery in the UK are failing, with the number of potential victims being trafficked into Britain rising by 245% over the last five years, according to official figures. 3. Efforts to eradicate modern slavery in the UK are failing, with the number of potential victims being trafficked into Britain rising by 245% over the last five years, according to official figures. 5: More than 150 sex workers have been murdered in Britain since 1990.

7 RADIO ADVERT IDEA     My group’s radio advert will follow a script based around the idea of Sex Slavery.   Our initial idea for the Radio is to have a bed sound of screaming and other noises which can reveal someone’s being abused. A voice will represent another victim of modern slavery and someone else at the other end of the call trying to help the victim.   In order to get our point across we had to identify our target audience which will be men, as well as informing women that they can seek help if needed. One of the aims of our advert could also be to gain the authorities support as well as they can report any suspicious behaviour within the community.
