All countries are affected by human trafficking, however the greatest country affected is the UK (Home Office).  There were 4,000 victims of trafficking for prostitution in the UK during any one time (Home Office).  85% of women in UK brothels today are foreign born (Home Office).  Women are sold for as much as $50,000 in the UK (Home Office).  60% of these women are brought over by illegal means (Home Office).  There were only a total of 30 convictions made in 2004-2006 (Home Office). www.stolenchildhood.net

The song explains a day in the lives of two boys which unfold on a split screen. One boy lives in the first world and the other works in a third-world shoe factory. 12 Our Governments Efforts  In a speech to the United Nations General Assembly, President Bush raised the issue of human trafficking and asked leaders around the world to work together to help end it (B.O.P.A.).  Congress passed a law where Americans who sexually prey on children abroad can be prosecuted and serve up to 30 years in prison.
