5. GRAD EVENTS FROM THE PAST
As of 2016, the Grad Parade is no longer a part of the graduation activities for W.C. Miller.
While we recognize that this was a long standing tradition, the school cannot take on the responsibility for the event considering past student behavior during the event and the ever increasing liability risk and potential for injury.
We remind you to respect this change and encourage you to seek positive alternatives to a parade if interested.

Each committee needs either a chair or co-chairs as well as additional student volunteers.

7. Fundraising Decorating
Organize various fund- raising events such as soup and pie, bottle drive, car wash etc.
Track volunteer hours/donations for students.
Work with parent Safe Grad committee.
Plan decorations based on the grad theme.
Arrange access to the Pioneer Centre.
Work within the decorations budget.
Work with the parent Safe Grad committee.

8. Banquet After Grad Plan menu & arrange a caterer
Organize linens and centre pieces

Ensure that banquet forms are distributed to students by May 1st and collected by May 15th’ish.

9. Some loose ends… Office Requests
Please ensure that the name we use in PowerSchool and on transcripts is accurate. It must match your legal name on your birth certificate so that all the graduation documents can be processed correctly.
Grad Checks
Transcripts have been provided today along with the grad check form. Please ensure you have what you need to graduate
ISPL sections
If your transcript notes an ISPL class for semester 2 it is likely for Phys Ed or some other mandatory course that can’t be scheduled in the classroom. Please check with us if you are unsure which course it represents.
