3 BURSARY AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION  NIC advisor will be at Isfeld on March 19, April 21 and May 19 from 9-11. Sign up at Student Services.  Bursary Booklets and Application forms are available online at isfeldschool.com (right side of page)  Application deadline is March 11 at 3:30  Bursary luncheon is May 19 for bursary winners to prepare for the Bursary reception, which is on June 6 at 7:00 in the MPR.  Students who have not registered with the Ministry for the Online Post-Secondary institution Selections may do so before July 15, 2016. Students can choose up to six PSIs.

4  There is another blood clinic going on tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday at Filberg Centre from 1:30 to 7:00 pm- 1-888-2DONATE  For the first time ever, Isfeld will host a blood donor clinic in our Multipurpose Room on April 14 from 1 – 7pm. Before 5:00 pm, sign up at the Isfeld office; after 5:00 pm, sign up on blood.ca  Things to remember:  Drink water before you go. Eat breakfast and lunch.  Bring your ID. They don’t take blood from strangers.  It is almost completely painless, but will take about an hour. BLOOD DRIVE

5  If your son or daughter says they need to be somewhere at 4:00 am on March 6 th, it could be legit.  The Jumpstart Spin-a-thon takes place at the Comox Rec Centre from 3 pm March 5 th to the same hour on March 6 th.  Isfeld has two teams, each with 24 riders, involving staff members and grads.  Check the sign-up for your child’s name. SPIN-A-THON

6  Wednesday, March 16 starting at 6:30 in the gym  Involves baby photos, the grad most likely to…, silent auction and 50/50 for Relay for Life.  Bring a dessert for 12 or a raffle basket item. Check what your child signed you up for.  The grads have a dance in the MPR after the event, which ends around 10:00pm GRAD DESSERT NIGHT AND DANCE

7  Sunday, May 1 st from 11 to 3 at Isfeld  This combines the Ford Test Drive event with a fun croquet/mini golf event. It will also include a concession, car wash, silent auction.  This will raise money for YANA, Relay for Life and for our own grad.  Each test drive is $10 off a grad fee. If we have the most test drives, we get a $500 scholarship DRIVE ONE FOR CHARITY

8  Saturday, June 11 th at 6pm to Sunday, June 12 th at 6am  Grads form teams of 8-12.  This is the one event that involves almost every graduating student.  Parents and staff also get involved. Sign up here. RELAY FOR LIFE

9 FEES  Grad fees are $125, but may be less if you sold poinsettias, or took test drives.  If you are taking a guest to Crown Isle -> $65  Student fees and Library fees are also due before tickets will be issued, as well as exit interview, grad transitions and bursary thank- you letter.  Talk to your counsellor or administrator if financial hardship jeopardizes your participation in Grad.

10  Wednesday, June 29 th, starting at 5:30 in the gym.  Light dinner is provided to grads before the ceremony.  Support is available for those in financial hardship through the Prince Charming/Cinderella Project via the school counsellor.  Dry Grad really means no alcohol or drugs.  School staff runs the Commencement Ceremony, Grad Parents run the Dry Grad with Admin support.  Dry grad ends at around 3:15, when a parent picks up the grad and takes him or her home. 11  Grad Transitions completion chart  Students taking online courses toward graduation must have those courses completed by June 1 st.  The Commencement Ceremony is for graduating students only. Those who do not qualify to graduate by June 30 th don’t take part. If your son or daughter is in jeopardy, you will be getting a letter indicating this. Provincial exam results were released today, and more notification letters may be forthcoming. STUFF TO NAG YOUR KID ABOUT
