6. Sight Words Level A Level D
Your child is required to learn a list of 64 sight words by the end of kindergarten.
These words can be found in the homework section of your child’s Binder.
Learning letter sounds and sight words will help your child learn to read.
By the end of kindergarten, your child must be reading fluently on a Level D.

Report Cards are sent home at the end of each 9 week grading period. (4 report cards per year)
Each 9 weeks, the children will only be assessed on the skills that were taught during that particular grading period.
Kindergarten report card grades include S, P, and N:
S  Demonstrates a satisfactory level of proficiency for all subskills taught in that standard for the nine week period.
P  Student exhibits partial proficiency in the standard. Student meets some, but not all, benchmarks for the nine week period.
N  Student does not demonstrate proficiency with majority of subskills taught in that standard for the nine week period.
