2 Access to the experimental hall
Since 2012 a dosimeter is necessary to enter the experimental hall. You need to make a registration: Go to Click Access Request Click +Add Access Request: PREVESSIN Access Building: 887 Access Zone: EHN1, North Experimental Hall Date can be empty (it is means from today, without time limit) Justification (NA61) Click Send icon on the top of the page Authorise with the authorisation password The request needs to be approved by Zoltán and Ilias - it may take a while!

3 Overview Access to the area is limited to prevent accidental exposure to the beam There are 3 basic modes: beam on - access is forbidden key access - each person needs to get a key to open area. Please remember to put the key back afterwards! free access - no access restrictions. Difficult procedure to put beam back on again, don't use free access if not necessary!

5 Key access In CESAR (application running on a computer in the counting house) change status to BEAM OFF Go to the main door (152 or 142) Change status to KEY access on the display Validate with the button Touch button KEY release on display Get a key Open the door with the key on the panel close to the door you want to open Go in

6 The door The panel are changed on the door To enter:
Use key to open the door Don't hold the door open for too long (or they go into free access automatically). Put the key into your pocket. To leave Push the green button (not the emergency button!) to leave. Remember to put return the key in the panel. It is planned to put an additional plexi glass door before the panel. Key will be stored in the counting house.

8 Start the beam All keys must be in place

9 Changes since 2010 The method to close the area is changed
Authorized people registered with EDH Registration needed for the patrol right, the patrol can close the area after free access and repair the door after forced opening the door Max 2 people in the collaboration can have a right to teach others and give authorization for patrol rights /max 4-5 people total/

10 Free access → key access
After free access the patrol has to survey the area and put to key access mode General: Wojciech Dominik , Zoltán Fodor Right to change status: Marek Gazdzicki, András László To go in the any part of the area we have to go the door 152, and get a key, In the monitor push the “button” key release and get a key With the key open the door /in side of the door a box/ Check the door is closed after entering /after 60? sec go to the free access mode/ Identification with the dosimeter needed for patrol mode only

11 Free access → key access
Close the area, after all of the key back, push on the monitor the “button” end of access Wait 20 second, during this time you allow to cancel After 20 second you have to validate with the real button on the panel
