2 With Mr Fraser, Mrs Rice and Miss Tapply.
Welcome to Year 5 With Mr Fraser, Mrs Rice and Miss Tapply.

3 General Expectations One of our primary aims in Year 5 is to foster the children’s independence skills in preparation for Year 6 and their secondary education. Children are expected to arrive at school with the correct equipment for the day ahead. School will provide handwriting pens, pencils, and other general stationery. From the first day of term, children will be encouraged to take care of their possessions and school property.

4 General Expectations Please raise any concerns with the class teacher in the first instance, either at the beginning or the end of the school day. If appropriate, the class teacher may suggest that a mutually convenient time is arranged to discuss issues in more depth.

5 Key Routines One hour of English each day. One hour of Maths each day.
Two PE sessions per week. Playpals. Classroom monitors.

6 Behaviour All children will begin each day under the sun.
Unacceptable behaviour = Warning Further unacceptable behaviour = Child moves name to the cloudy sun. If the unacceptable behaviour continues = Child moves name to the rain cloud. At this stage, children will have time out in another classroom with a reflection sheet and will miss 2 mins of Golden Time.
