2. The St. Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON) was founded on August 1st 2012 as the merger of University of Economics and Finance (FINEC) and University of Economics and Engineering (ENGECON).
On December 29th 2012 University of Service and Economics (SUSE) joined the alliance.
The key principle of merger was to preserve best traditions of all three partners thus new University consists of three Institutes: Institute of Economic, Institute of Management and Institute of Tourism and Service.

3. Department of Economy and Management of the Enterprises and Industrial Complexes Department E&M - The winner of the All-Russian competition "The Best Economic Department", in the nomination "Management" , 2015, 2016 The Master program "Financial Management of the Organization" - the winner of the All-Russian competition in the nomination "The best master programs for management" -2016

4. Department of Economy and Management of the Enterprises and Industrial Complexes
The Department E&M has close relations with the leading representatives of the Russian business elite
The research group of department under the leadership of the prof. A.E.Karlik in 2014 had won an award of the Government of St. Petersburg in the field of the higher education in the nomination "effective interaction with the industry"

5. Department of Economy and Management of the Enterprises and Industrial Complexes
The Department E&M is an founder of a number of basic departments in the leading industrial companies of St. Petersburg
One of the best basic departments is created together with the "Komsomolskaya Pravda LLC"
The staff of this basic department under prof. E. A. Tkachenko leadership takes active part in development of strategic documents in the fields of the international industrial cooperation including the Arctic region

6. Department of Economy and Management of the Enterprises and Industrial Complexes
The Department E&M has experience of the international cooperation, including has experience of participation in projects of border cooperation together with representatives of Finland
The Department E&M participated in formation network master programs together with a number of the Russian and foreign universities
