2 Art Homework You will receive a piece of art homework each week.
We advise that you bring in a USB stick so that we can save this terms homework tasks, examples and help sheets onto it for you. This is useful if you are away ill as you will still need to complete the homework. Extension tasks are provided, students who wish to get B, A or A* grades are strongly encouraged to complete this extra work!

Include in this the photograph which you took last week! 2) Write a comparison between this and any painting by Kandinsky. Use the help sheet on the next slide to help you. Homework 5: Due in: Task: Produce a musical instrument themed stiff life, it can be either A4 or A3 in size. You can either complete this in tonal pencil shading or in a coloured medium of your choice. Homework 6: Due in: Tasks: Produce a Kandinsky fact sheet, this should contain information about him and his work. You will need to produced two A4 sheets of work Present this is a create way, use the examples of the Magritte fact sheets on the left and the next slide to help you with your presentation ideas. Homework 7: Due in: Produce an A4 sized coloured painting based on a music concert or festival which you have attended, in the style of Kandinsky. Homework 8: Due in: Tasks: Choose any one of Kandinsky's paintings to analyse. You will need to answer all of the questions on the how to analyse a painting help sheet. You will need to produced two A4 sheets of work for this task. Homework 9: Due in: Wednesday 12th February Tasks: Complete the worksheet task for your glass bottle design. You will need to produce an A4 Kandinsky bottle design in colour which is annotated. It is important with this design that you take into account the constraints and limitations of the material which you will be working with. Homework Extension tasks Do not panic, these are extra pieces of work that you can choose to do! They are aimed at our Gifted and Talented students or for those who wish to aim for B, A or A* grade. Homework Extension task A: Tasks: 1) Produce a Kandinsky style drawing using a computer inspired by any piece of music of your choice. Your drawing can be either A4 or A3 when printed. 2) Write a comparison (using the comparison help sheet on the next slide) which compares your computer drawing to any one of Kandinsky's paintings! Homework Extension task B: Task: Produce an outline drawing of any musical instrument ion an A4 sheet of paper. Using a ruler, divide this up into triangular sections. Cut out and rearrange these pieces so that your drawing no long makes any sense. Glue them down in place and add tonal shading using coloured pencil crayons of your choice.
