2 Canada’s Response Britain declare war on Germany when Germany invaded Poland (tipping point) Canada now needs to make a decision (Britain ASKED Canada to help) Canada’s mind (people / PM) – Isolationists (isolate-alone, independant) = Wanted to stay out of WW2 No Sacrifice of lives (don’t risk lives) Believed Treaty of Versailles was unfair WW2 did not involve or threaten Canada

Canada was also involved: Did not accept Jewish Refugees Because of the “unemployment” problem in Canada Nazi Gov’t thought Jews were inferior (and downgraded the master race..Germans) Nazi’s Separated Jewish from germans Blamed struggle of Germany on Jews Holocaust
