Effects of the Plague Killed almost 25 million people in Europe
Decreased town populations Serfs left manors searching for better wages destruction of feudalism Decreased trade/ increased prices of goods Jews blamed for bringing the Plague to Europe People lost faith in the Church

Hundred Years’ War (1337-1453) France v. England Causes:
History of English Kings serving as vassals to France Last French (Capetian) king died Edward III of England claimed right to the French throne Hundred Years’ War Joan of Arc: heard voices telling her to drive the English out of France led the French into battle and led them into victory The fate of Joan of Arc: Joan was captured by English allies burned at the stake
