3 BACKGROUND The Road Accident Fund is in need of a service provider who can Supply, Installation And Upgrading Of Security Systems Including Maintenance for 3 years. The following offices have been identified for the security system needs: Pretoria CBD Centurion-Ecoglades Menlyn branch Nelspruit Johannesburg branch Cape Town branch Durban branch East London branch It is important that security equipment or systems be compatible to IXP 400 series. The service provider or company must have five (5) years or more of experience in the Supply, Installation And Upgrading Of Security Systems Including Maintenance.

5 Details of the Bid REQUEST FOR BID:
Supply, Installation And Upgrading Of Security Systems Including Maintenance for a Period Of Three Years Compulsory briefing sessions from April 2013. Closing date 29 April 2013. All questions / enquiries outside this forum will be via to: not later than 11:00 on 23rd April 2013 Questions/ Answers will be published on the RAF website by 24th April

7 Evaluation Criteria Mandatory Requirements
The following specific requirements must be met by the bidders and it will be expected of bidders to supply proof or confirm their commitment where applicable. The bidder must be PSIRA accredited (company). Please furnish the RAF with the operational certificate. The bidder must have works man compensation valid letter (coida), please furnish the RAF with proof thereof. Bidders must confirm that they have read and understood the terms and conditions set out in the attached Service Level Agreement (Annexure J), which terms and conditions the bidder accepts, in the event that the RAF awards a contract to the bidder pursuant to this bid. Failure by the RAF and the successful bidder to conclude a contract within 60 days following the issuing by the RAF of the award letter to the successful bidder, will result in the bid being deemed to be non-responsive which will then entitle the RAF, at its sole discretion, to consider other responsive bids and award the tender to another bidder or bidders. NB:FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ALL OF THE MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION

8 Technical / Functional Requirements
The technical criterion that will be utilized to test the capability of The service providers Technical criterion will be evaluated against the following detailed requirements: The bidder must provide a project implementation plan for each office bidding for The bidder must have relevant experience in the Installation and supply of security systems and or Maintenance of security equipment. Please provide references of similar work done in the past 3 years; indicating the Company Name, Contact Details, summary of the scope of Work, Duration of the Contract (start and end dates) and addresses. (please ensure that your references populate the attached reference questionnaire, and must be submitted with your bid response Annexure G) The bidder must have at least 2 experienced service technicians with an NQF level 4 qualifications for each office, for the maintenance and service of the security equipment. Please provide curriculum vitae’s. The bidder must provide a training plan on equipment to be installed. All bidders who score 75 or more out of 100 points will be shortlisted Price and BEE.

9 90/10 principle will be used.
