PRESENT TENSE VERBS Do you remember what a predicate is?
There are two kinds of predicates: Simple predicates (which is just the verb): Complete predicates give more information: Mr. Matt is. Mr. Matt likes. Mr. Matt is from Canada. Mr. Matt likes to eat pizza in his pajamas on Saturdays.

PRESENT TENSE VERBS Present-tense Verbs are part of a predicate. They are used to describe something that is always true. You must always remember that third-person verbs are (almost) always different! I walk We walk You walk You walk He/She/It walks They walk

PRESENT TENSE VERBS There are many kinds of present tense verbs, but we are going to learn about Present Simple. Present Simple is used to talk about a habit/routine, something that usually happens; not what is happening now, or only happens once. I walk We walk You walk You walk He/She/It walks They walk

For third-person, many of the rules are the same as for plurals.

PRESENT TENSE VERBS Don’t forget that the same rules apply to “do” when you have a negative sentence. But the main verb doesn’t change for any person. I don’t walk We don’t walk You don’t walk You don’t walk He/She/It doesn’t walk They don’t walk

PRESENT TENSE VERBS What present tense verbs can go in the space?
(There are many answers, give me one that make sense) (It can be more than one word; like a phrasal verb) We _______ pizza on the weekends. My mom ______ chocolate. I _______ my homework after school, every day. That dog ______ its ball in the park.
