5 The Importance of Continuing Ministry REUNIONS: Acts 2:28: You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence. Reunions provide the connection needed for the support system to grow. Reunions keep everyone connected to the larger Kairos Outside Community. Reunions are successful when we make the effort by extending an invitation to attend Reunions should be interesting & fun as well as sharing & prayer. Reunions should be held at a minimum of four (4) times a year. Should be scheduled within two (2) or three (3) weeks of a weekend. Should be held in varying locations in your area so the same people are not driving long distances each time. The Advisory Council Continuing Ministry Coordinator and her committee should make up a yearly calendar listing the dates, times and location of Reunions. The Continuing Ministry Coordinator should arrange for people to lead and host the Reunions held in their vicinity. The responsibilities for hosting a reunion are found on page 186 in your program manual. Being Present

9 The Importance of Continuing Ministry How to Change The Issues to Solutions
After calling, texting and ing keep database updated Reports from each area or group on a consistent basis Table leaders keep guest together by teleconference Use SWAP card at end of weekend with demonstration by team members Forming a support group is similar to becoming a table family on a weekend. Good places to start looking for possible group members are: Contact someone from your weekend or a person you met at the follow-up reunion, your other friends, neighbors, people you work with or worship with. Where and when a group meets - look for a place you can meet regularly, your workplace, the institution, your church. People you see repeatedly as you wait to go through processing when visiting your loved one. Ask them to join you for coffee or whatever, just a chance to visit and get to know each other. Being Present
