1 Class Care Group Director(s) 2 Care Group Leaders (One for every four to six class Members) 3 Class Members “A Sunday School care group ministry is simply a grouping of all enrolled class members for the expressed purpose of making regular contacts for prayer, communication, and the discovery and meeting of needs.”

3 Class Care Group Director
1 Class Care Group Director A Care Group Director is the person responsible for seeing that every care group leader is receiving ministry and encouragement. He/She also is responsible for verifying that care group leaders are contacting their care group members on a regular schedule.(At least once per month) In a large class the care group director may have several assistant care group directors to help in making contact with individual care group leaders.

2 Class Care Group Leader(s) The ministry’s structure is to provide one Care Group Leader for every four to six class members. The Care Group Leader(s) work with the Care Group Director and Teacher to ensure that every member is contacted regularly including absentee contacts, crisis contacts, encouragement contacts, and class social event reminders. Every class member is to be contacted at least once every month by a care group leader. 4

5 3 Class Members Class Members are any and all enrolled members. Those individuals that have committed or agreed to be included on the class’s current enrollment list. Note: Someone does not have to be a member of the church to be enrolled as a Class Members. 5

3 Care Group Ministry Goal To develop a Great Commission driven class that is expressing Christ-like Love, Compassion, and Care for all people. 6

7 The primary responsibilities are:
• Keep a record/journal of contacts with each group member. Be a personal example of a caring, growing Christian and faithful church member. Develop a meaningful personal relationship with each care group member. Contact every care group member no less than once every month to thank them for their attendance, or to let them know they were missed, and discover prayer needs and request. Minister to care group members by maintaining confidential information that may have been shared. Seek to be aware of and to meet any special needs and requests of each individual care group member. Organize the class to assist members in times of emergency or crisis.

8 The primary responsibilities are:
Communicate with the Class when special needs arise. Remember special dates (birthday, anniversary, etc.) by sending a card, message or making a personal phone call. Contact every care group member weekly to thank them for their attendance, or to let them know they were missed Pray for care group members daily, knowing their joys and concerns. Visit with care group members socially outside of organized church activities and events. (Meet for a meal or just a cup of coffee to talk and get to know each other personally at least quarterly) Attend the weekly class or group meetings to strengthen your personal ministry and your overall membership commitment and success. 8
