9. AP/Dual Classes
Advanced Placement courses are college-level classes in a wide variety of subjects that you can take while still in high school. They offer you challenging course work and a taste of what college classes are like. Many in-state and out-of-state colleges will accept AP course credit if the student receives a qualifying AP test score.
Dual enrollment is a successful acceleration mechanism that allows students to pursue an advanced curriculum relevant to their individual post secondary interests. College credit earned prior to high school graduation reduces the average time-to-degree and increases the likelihood of graduation for the students who participate in these programs. AZ Transfer provides student with an on-line transfer guide to help students determine the course equivalencies with our in-state universities.

Sign up for college visits to the in state schools in the Career Center
Take practice tests
Take the PSAT- especially junior year
Take SAT or ACT starting second semester—
Retake the test for potential scholarships
Higher scores with a high GPA= more $
