1 INTRODUCTION Welcome… 

2 WHAT CLASS IS THIS?!?! This subject covers the methods available for marketers to market their business online. Student will learn the concepts and applications of e-marketing and develop strategic thinking skills in planning for e- marketing. Student will also learn on how to leverage the electronic media for product promotions and transactions.

3 OBJECTIVES To develop students’ knowledge in the areas of e- marketing. To develop students’ analytical skills in marketing online as effective as offline. To Design and execute e-marketing plan, strategies and applications To explain current marketing trends by top brands and different types of brands

4 LEARNING OUTCOMES Identify suitable creative strategies and ideas in online marketing  Display technical competencies in constructing a e- marketing plan, activities and strategies based on research and observation Differentiate the needs, trends and industry practices in online marketing

5 IMPORTANT STUFF #1 - CLASS
TUESDAY 4pm to 6pm – Lecture/ In-class Discussions/ Consultations (AR0001) THURSDAY 9am to 11am – Lab Session 1 (DR2006) 11am to 1pm – Lab Session 2 (DR2006)

6 IMPORTANT STUFF #1 - CLASS
Classes start at 4pm, lecture starts at 4.15pm. The LATEST you may enter class is 4.15pm, any later than that please go home. If your phone rings in class, it will then belong to the lecturer. Class cancellations will be replaced accordingly. If the class falls on a public holiday, it will still need to be replaced.

7 IMPORTANT STUFF #2 - ATTENDANCE
As part of the University’s attendance policy, you must attend 80% of your lecture classes and tutorials. In other words, you will be barred from sitting for your final exam if your attendance rate is below 80%. Any valid MC (Medical Certificates from MMU panel clinic) must be presented within 1 week from the date of absence. Any other letters will not be acceptable except with special conditions (with FCM Dean’s signature of approval). You may also be barred from sitting for your final exam by Finance so please pay your fees on time! $$$

8 IMPORTANT STUFF #3 - SUBMISSIONS
Students must sign a submission sheet when submitting your class assignment or in-class exercises. Please refer to your appropriate lecturers in your tutorial groups regarding submission of your in-class exercises. DO NOT WAIT till the end of the trimester to clarify with your tutorial lecturer regarding submission issues etc. No grade changes will be made on and after the final exam. For class assignment submission, please refer to the assignment brief for the exact requirements.

9 IMPORTANT STUFF #3 - SUBMISSIONS
All late submissions will receive 0 marks. For the class assignment, submissions under the lecturer’s door will NOT be accepted. Submission will only be in the class at the time and date specified in the assignment brief. Submission of Blank CDS (by mistake or otherwise) may be considered as zero submission.

11 IMPORTANT STUFF #5 - CONSULTATION
All consultations will be done IN CLASS. Unless we have specified that we will have online consultations or consultations outside of class time. You will need to us to make an appointment.
