A1. The response of the IAEA to the challenges above is to contribute to the establishment of a strong, sustainable and visible Global Safety Regime based on common global ‘rules of the game’. Improvement of national and international safety infrastructures, supplemented by intergovernmental agreements on safety Establishment and global acceptance of universal safety standards An integrated approach to the application of universal safety standards Self-sustaining regional and global network of safety related knowledge and experience based on “knowledge management”
