April 14th- Spring Picture Day (Free Dress) April 27th- Glema Mahr Field Trip- “Duck for President” Spelling Words: crop blind pumpkin socks spoke paid broke strong real spring dream patch load knot window crowd might power Vocabulary: irrigation proceeded determined concerned inspected mended (These will change as we read more each day in our chapter book!) Spelling: This week students will practice identifying and spelling words that they have previously had this school year. Students will have spelling homework each night, and it is a little different. Directions are on the top of the page. Reading: This week, we will start reading the book, “Stone Fox”, in class. Students will have various activities throughout the week with the book. After we have read and discussed two chapters, students will have a quiz over these chapters but will be allowed to use their books. These books will stay at school this week. Math: This week, we will continue with our multiplication facts and solving mixed word problems. Students will have multiplication homework each night for the facts they are currently on. Multiplication facts quiz will be on Friday.

2 Mrs. Wyatt’s April 11th Grammar: This week students will continue studying about adverbs and how to use correctly in a sentence. Students will test on Friday. Writing: This week we will continue working on our animal research project. Students will finish up researching and begin working on their rough draft. Social Studies: We will continue our discussion this week on communities and how they have changed over time. More information will be coming home soon about our last field trip of the year! For the remainder of the school year, the spelling homework will be a little different. Students will choose 3 assignments to complete each week. They will lightly color in and turn in any paper work each week on Friday. The paper with the assignment will be in their folder each day. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
