2 Diadochokinetic Diadochokinetic (DDK) task also known as syllable alternating motion rate (AMR) Alternating motion rate (AMR) : /pataka/pataka/.. /peteke/peteke/… Typical duration: 5 to 10 seconds Sequential motion rate (SMR) /pa/pa/pa.. /ta/ta/ta…. The DDK task measures the subject’s ability to repeat a consonant–vowel (C-V) combination with bilabial, alveolar, and velar places of articulation DDK metrics: Syllable vocalizations rate (syllable/second): slow, normal, fast Rate variations : regular/irregular, accelerating, slowing down
