7 Snapshot Autobiography
In this project you will think about the meaning of history by describing and illustrating several events from your life. What is the story of your birth? How do you know the story of your birth? What evidence do you have to back your story? How might someone else remember your story? Share your story with a partner.

8 Bring your story to life
1. take a piece of paper and fold it like a letter, so that it forms 3 panels. or counting front and back you will have 6 panels II. The first panel is the cover for your snapshot autobiography Create a title Illustrate III. On the back panel write a brief “About the Author” Include your name, place and date of birth and anything you want people to know about you illustrate IV. This leaves 4 panels. In the 1st panel write about your birth. In the other 3 panels, write about important events that have shaped you as a person

9 Homework I. finish your autobiography pamphlet
Describe the stories from start to finish Pretend that someone who doesn’t know you will b3e reading your story and trying to understand it Illustrate each event II. Interview someone in your family about one of your events Note which parents of their story differ from your own Take careful notes on the paper provided III. Be prepared to share in class
