Capitalization 6. Capitalize all words referring to the Judaeo-Christian God and to the Holy Family. Christians call upon god to help them. The Muslim name for their god is allah. Many people don’t realize that jesus was a Jew all his life. Some people call jesus messiah; others call him christ. He was supposed to be born of the virgin mary, and the father who raised him was named joseph.

6. Capitalize all words referring to religious scriptures.
Capitalization 6. Capitalize all words referring to religious scriptures. The Jews call their holiest book the torah. The torah is usually handwritten on a scroll. The Jewish portion of the holy bible is the old testament. I read the entire bible when I was sixteen. The Christian part of the bible is called the new testament and it consists of the stories of the life of jesus, the letters written by his early followers, and the book called revelation.

Capitalization 7. Capitalize all words referring to the Judaeo-Christian God (and any pronouns referring to God,) The Jewish god yahweh is sometimes called jehovah. yahweh, or jehovah, is called god by Christians. Muslims worship the same supreme being as the Jews and the Christians, but they call him allah. The same god has four names: yahweh, jehovah, god, and allah.

Capitalization Capitalize all words referring to the Judaeo-Christian God (including pronouns used in place of God’s name), to the Holy Family, and to religious scriptures. In the bible we are told to worship god, his son, named jesus christ, and the holy spirit. Yesterday, I learned that the holy spirit part of the trinity was added to Christian belief by the Italians nearly a thousand years after jesus died. Moses claimed to have heard god’s voice.

Capitalization Capitalize all words referring to the Judeo-Christian God (including pronouns used in place of God’s name), to the Holy Family, and to religious scriptures. In the new testament part of the holy bible the book of mark (verse 3, line 15) tells us, “For god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” When we refer to Greek gods and goddess we only capitalize their names, not the word “god” or “goddess.”
