2 What Are Construction Documents?
Drawings and specifications created by an architect that set forth in detail requirements for the construction of the project. Written, graphic and pictorial documents prepared or assembled for describing the design (including the Framing Structural System), location and physical characteristics of the elements of a Building necessary to obtain a Building Permit and construct a Building.

MEP 1) Electrical (E-01) 2) Plumbing (P-01) 3) HVAC (M-01) Additional drawings: Architectural 1) Interior elevations. 2) Kitchen layout. 2) Details of special areas, fireplace. 4 Title Page Title Page is exactly as it sounds. This page serves as the front page. This page usually has a artistic rendering of the project and the design companies company name.

5 Index Page (x-01) This page serves as an index for the complete construction drawing set. Index

6 Civil Pages (C-01) Civil Page will have 1) Site plan 2) Grading plan
Civil Pages could include 1) Site Electrical 2) Storm water run off 3) Ect.

8 Structural Pages (S-01) Structural pages with have engineered drawings and details to direct construction method and materials.

9 Architectural pages (A-01)
An architectural set typically consists of a cover sheet, floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, interior elevations and millwork details. A demolition plan is included when required, as are exterior elevations. Separate pages for sections, such for walls, interior or exterior, and details are added as required to convey the overall design. Depending on the size of the project, separate pages are often added to cover specification information. Architectural pages will have: 1) Foundation plan. 2) Floor plans. 3) Exterior elevations. 4) Wall sections. 5) Details. 6) Framing plan. 7) Roof plan. Architectural pages may have: 1) Interior elevations. 2) Kitchen layout. 2) Details of special areas, fireplace.

14 MEP Pages Engineering drawings are used for both residential and commercial construction projects. These drawings provide information on the electrical, mechanical and plumbing components for a project. Usually, they are part of a set of construction drawings. 1) Electrical (E-01) 2) Plumbing (P-01) 3) HVAC (M-01)

18 Specifications Is usually in a binder manual form. This will specify procedures material fixtures and other items not depicted in drawing but necessary for finished construction of the project.
