2 Our pitch! IRON CHAIN Records provides local, national and international musical artists and bands in the Metal and Rock genre, an opportunity to express themselves through their art and provide a comfortable work environment for them to record, tour and release their music to public. IRON CHAIN Records is a start-up label that wants to help unknown bands release their first album and gain notoriety. Specifically, bands within the the metal, screamo, and grunge genres.

3 Promotions To find these artists and bands, we will search for musicians that are in the local area that play in clubs, and other local musical venues. We will approach these bands and offer them an opportunity to record their music and promote their music locally and offer a contract to them to record their first album under IRON CHAIN records.

4 Strategy/Objectives Bands and Artists Recording contracts Fans
Musical groups in the Metal or Rock genre that show potential, charisma, and dedication to their music. Recording contracts We will be a starter label and provide bands with beginning contracts of one to two record releases and then offer them a contract extension unless they find another deal from another label. Fans After establishing a stable lineup of recording bands, the label will offer fans opportunities to see these bands live on tour, access their music, purchase merchandise, and like and follow our social media on our website.

5 Website will be our main domain where we will sell merchandise and also connect all of our social media to it. Some of the merchandise will include: Band T-Shirts Other clothing CD’s Posters Vinyl Other accessories

6 Social media Youtube.com/Iron Chain Records – This is where we will post all of the music videos and lyric videos for our signed bands. Twitter – We will use Twitter to keep our fans up to date on upcoming events and also interact with the community. Facebook – This will be our social media face for the company. We will have company details up there for bands interested in our label. We will also post events there as well. Vine – We will use Vine to promote the bands by showing personal videos about them and also putting small videos of their music up there to catch peoples attentions and interest.

7 Demographics For the first six months our primary targets will be Bands and Artists we are looking to sign. After that start up period we will switch our attention to attracting potential listeners and fans alike. The first six months our digital traffic will go from 0 to 1000 users because of the main focus being on bands. The following six months our digital traffic will go from 1000 to 3000 users effectively tripling our follower base because of our ability to release content and our focus on attracting listeners.

8 Partnerships To sell and promote these bands, their music, their merchandise, and their live shows we will reach out to other companies for combined support to help promote these bands. MerchNow Vans Warped Tour Bandcamp Other artists outside the genre

9 Research We chose to do our research on Fat Wreck Chords, an independent punk rock label in San Francisco, California. The Fat Wreck Chords label provides their bands with beginning, one-record contracts and allows the band themselves make the choice, if they want to continue with the label or move on to another label with a different record contract.

10 Results With this label, we hope to accomplish a reputable name that will help young, aspiring artists and bands to get their names out there, but not change who they are as musicians. As for the label itself, we aim to make it successful and a highly sought after presence in the music industry.
