2 Anxiety Feeling uneasy or worried about what may happen
Symptoms include: Fear or dread Perspiration, trembling Rapid heart rate, lightheadedness

3 Treatment for Anxiety Stress management techniques: Deep breathing
Yoga Visualization Progressive muscle relaxation

4 Signs of Excessive Anxiety
Have feelings of fear or worry most of the time. Be easily distracted and have difficulty concentrating. Have muscle tension and be unable to relax. Have changes in appetite. Have difficulty falling asleep. Experience physical symptoms such as headache or upset stomach.

5 Study and Test-Taking Tips to Reduce Anxiety
Prepare in advance Know the vocabulary Make up your own test questions Test Time Take a deep breath or two Read the drections before you begin Read through all answers Answer questions you know first Watch words like: NOT, EXCEPT, ALWAYS, and NEVER

6 Depression A prolonged feeling of: helplessness hopelessness sadness

7 Reactive Depression Last longer than the “blues”
Can lead to Major Depression if not managed Example: death of a friend

8 Symptoms of depression
Irritable or restless mood Withdraw from friends Change in appetite Change in weight Feelings of guilt or worthlessness
