There are many benefits of NKBA Accredited Programs to students,  As a student at an NKBA supported or accredited program, you receive a host of benefits, such as a substantial discount on student membership, and member publications and tools. You also have the opportunity to hold office in a student chapter and compete for scholarships awarded only to students in NKBA Accredited/Supported Programs. The most important benefit is the opportunity to sit for the NKBA certification exam at the completion of your education.

NKBA student members have access to several exclusive opportunities and design competitions that offer more than $50,000 in scholarships annually, plus national exposure and recognition. Member companies, associated publications and organizations, as well as local NKBA chapters make these opportunities possible.
NKBA Student Design Competition
Every year, there is an NKBA Student Design Competition, in which they define a remodeling challenge. Download the entry brochure and tips for submission of a valid entry. Check the bulletin board in the hall outside 321 for competition information.
Other Competitions
The NKBA Outstanding Student Achievement Award recognizes excellence in kitchen and bath design at each of our accredited institutions.
