2. Chistopol is a town in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, located on the left bank of the Kuibyshev Reservoir, on the Kama River. Its population is 66,500.

3. My small town Chistopol differs a little from other quiet provincial towns of Central Russia.Everything here is simple and quiet. It is very comfortable to live here. Most studends and young families dream to study and live in Chistopol . You can see a lot of landskapes and sightseeings , which usually draw crowds of tourists.

4. Chistopol was first mentioned in chronicles at the end of the 17th century It developed very quickly. At the end of the 19th century, Chistopol became a major center of trade for grain. Prior to 1917, it was the second largest town after Kazan.
In 1781, a decree by Catherine the Great granted Chistopol the status of an uyezd town, with the establishment of its own coat of arms

5. Archaeological monument Juketau is on the west side of the town
Archaeological monument Juketau is on the west side of the town. From the Tatar language its name is translated as "the lime mount". It is the remains of the ancient city of the Golden Horde of the tenth century

6. If you’d like to rest, The Quay Kama is the best place to enjoy the Kama. All the new married come here to hang a wedding padlock on the special tree and to take photos. There is also the Clock Tower with four clock faces.

7. The most beautiful and magnificent building in my native town is Nikolski Cathedral. It was built by the brothers Polyacovs in the years of 1834 – Nowadays it was reconstructed. A new bell and a clock was hung in 2000

Chistopol is not a young town. Modern buildings and old buildings stand here side by side. As a tourist you can some historical buildings.

9. There are libraries, museums, palaces of culture, cinemas, parks in Chistopol. The museum of History and Nature has a lot of interesting exhibits. Sometimes pupils visit it with their teachers. The most interesting exhibits of the museum are an old wooden bycicle, old guns, models of ships and others.

10. It’s the most modern Palace of Culture, where you can enjoy fantastic performances, play bouling or billiard, entertain your kids.

There are numerous plants and factories in Chistopol. They produce a lot of goods: watches, clocks, sweets, clothes, furniture and others.
The town is notable for its watch plant, Vostok watches, which was founded in 1941.
I believe that my native town is the most wonderful and the cleanest one. Dwellers of Chistopol try to do their best to keep it beautiful and attractive to the tourists. Welcome to the ancient town of Tatarstan Chistopol! There are a lot to see and to do! Your visit will be unforgetable!
