12. Combine Harvester Head - Falsely declared as new
Failed to comply with section 16A of the Biosecurity Act 1993 in that the company completed an import entry declaring as new.
Section 154N(6), Biosecurity Act 1993
Penalty: Imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, a fine not exceeding $50,000 or both.
Company fined $3,000 for false declaration.
MPI required full disassembly and 30 hours of steam cleaning for decontamination. Quarantine waste filled three 240 litre containers.

13. USE OF DETECTOR DOGS
WE PLAN TO USE DETECTOR DOGS AT INCURSION STAGE OR WHEN WE WISH TO BE VERY SURE THAT THERE IS NOT ANY BMSB.
ALAN WILLOX, SENIOR QUARANTINE OFFICER AND GEORGIE HAVE BEEN IN TRAINING FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS.
MPI IS ESTABLISHING A SMALL TEAM OF DOGS FOR BMSB DETECTION.
