1 How to make and publish a web page

2 Create a folder

3 Choose a simple (no space) name for the folder

4 Download

5 Make a word document with some text and pictures

6 Save it as a webpage

7 Save the file as a webpage

8 Make sure you save it inside the folder

9 Make internal-external links
External Link 1- Select (highlight) the word you want to link. 2- Insert Hyperlink 3- Type the URL (web address) of the web site that you want to make the link with in the Upper window. 4- Click OK. Internal Link 1- Put your Cursor on the target place 2- Go to Insert/Bookmark and type ONE word (this word will be your bookmark) and click on Add. 3- Select the text (the origin or the link) and Insert Hyperlink 4- Click on (Bookmarks button or Place in This Document) in the left window 5- Click on the Browse button to find your bookmark word. Then Click OK. See attached link

23 Publishing Topublish your web page you either need a file transfer tool such as FileZilla, WinSCP, or similar tools or you have to have Internet Explorer as explained in following pages

24 Go to: ftp.csulb.edu

25 Input your CSULB username & password Your user name is the first part of your email address

26 You will see this page

27 Open ftp site in Windows Explorer

28 Input your username & password again

29 Open the htdocs folder

30 Copy and paste your web page (the whole folder) into this htdocs folder

31 How to see your published webpage?

32 Visit your web apge Go to the following address
user name/Folder Name/File Name.htm For example,
