5 The New Order and the Holocaust

6 The Holocaust Begins Hitler was determined to promote a “master race” called the Aryans. Those who were deemed inferior needed to be eliminated. Kristallnacht became a warning sign for Jews of things to come. Thousands began to flee. As a solution to get rid of the Jews, they were placed in ghettos. Horrible living conditions.

13 The “Final Solution” Hitler’s program for racial purity was based on genocide. Wanted to eliminate the gypsies, Poles, Russians, homosexuals, the insane, the disabled, the incurably ill, but especially the Jews. Early on, the undesirable were rounded up and shot. However, this method was not fast enough for Hitler Wansee Conference Plan to implement the “Final Solution to the Jewish Problem”

18 The Death Toll Germany killed 6 million Jews during the Holocaust
The Nazi’s were also responsible for the deaths of another 10 million civilians 1.2 million Jewish children died in the Holocaust. Mothers and children were often the first to be killed.
