2 Match the term to the definition
A noun or pronoun that follows an action verb and answers the questions “what” or “whom”. An adjective that follows a linking verb and describes the subject of the sentence. The words “what” or “whom” can be the direct object in a question. An indirect object can be a noun, adverb, or a pronoun. The direct object questions are: to or for whom and to or for what.
