10 Counting Squares = Surface Area
Agar A: Count the number of squares covered by the petri dish. Agar (ORANGE): If an area is has no growth, estimate how much is empty: 0.25 cm2 0.50 cm2 0.75 cm2 1 cm2 Add the no growth areas together and subtract them from the total area to find the area covered with bacteria.
