Our STAR of the Week is Joshua! As of two weeks ago, we have started to practice for our Jack and the Beanstalk Performance! The dress rehearsal/performance for the school will be on Thursday, March 2nd at 9:30 A.M. and our Performance for you, our wonderful parents, will be on Friday, March 3rd at 10:30 A.M.

Nightly Homework
Read every night for minutes. Fill out Reading Log and return Friday.
Practice for Spelling Test week 16. Use January’s Speller’s Choice Menu and Spellingcity.com/losprimeros/.
Study for Vocabulary Test week 16. Use Sight Word Activity Sheet , Fry Words App, or SpellingCity.com/losprimeros.
Muscle Math: study week 16 (Subtraction- Doubles). XtraMath.org – use website 2x this week.
Continue having your child practice their school Google password to keep it in their memory.
Pick one of the January Poems and start to memorize. Your child will recite one of the poems to the class at the end of the month. We are currently reciting the October, November and December poem(s) if they have not been completed.
This Week’s Homework:
Math: Lesson 15 and 16
Spelling: Write words three times each on lined paper provided (keep at home).
Social Studies/Science: Read Aloud: Groundhog Day Information sheet (What’s the weather like?) ; My Prediction: Groundhog Day worksheet ; Groundhog Day wordsearch
Writing: Finish “How to Build a Snowman” writing assignment ~due this Friday, January 27th.
Use Storyline online or HMH app to listen to a book and read book bag.
Return Homework Packet and Reading log Friday!
Friday-Sunday: Read 20 minutes nightly.
