The 21st century is a time of the rapid development and a plenty of changes processes.
Nowadays, the Internet importance continues to grow within the economy and society as a whole.
MOODLE is free, based on a new educational philosophy, the joint action; it is now the world most common e-learning solution, it meets the European Union and the European Commission education policies.
MOODLE became popular within the National Centre for Education starting from year 2010; when the centre began to implement professional development projects for vocational education teachers and mentors of enterprises.

Daugavpils Trade Vocational Secondary School has always been opened to new tendencies; and is not afraid to introduce into its work process a variety of innovations, including the ICT field.
Both the administration and teachers of the school have concluded that the introduction of e-learning in the future will fundamentally change the process of teaching, subjects methodology, distance learning opportunities.
The National Centre for Education motivates educational institutions to introduce MOODLE and to use it, because within last years the theoretical part of qualification exams have been done by students using e-learning environment MOODLE.

Moodle platform is current not only at Latvian, but also at European level.
In the future, MOODLE tests results will be transferred into credit points that will be recognized by another educational institutions both in Latvia and in Europe.
