9 The Point For Coordination Module 2: Creating a Toposurface
Luis Rojas Building Design Product Line Manager, Eagle Point Software

10 Module Summary In this module we will explain how to create toposurfaces in Autodesk® Revit® as well as some of the fundamentals behind them.

11 Concept Toposurfaces are made of points Topopoint Objects

12 Concept Toposurfaces are made of points
Contours result from the triangulation of these points

13 Concept Topo points can be added to the model: Manually
Point coordinate files (TXT, CSV) Drawing files with contour lines (DWG) Surface data (XML)

Luis Rojas Building Design Product Line Manager, Eagle Point Software

18 Module Summary In this module we will explain how to work with toposurfaces in Autodesk® Revit® to develop a model of the site.

19 Concept Out-of-the-box tools in Autodesk® Revit®: Place/edit points
Split surfaces Subregions

20 Concept Use Siteworks for Revit add-in
Manipulate terrain shapes and define grades Add streets, curbs, and other hardscape components

29 The Point For Coordination Module 5: Views, Schedules, and Exports
Luis Rojas Building Design Product Line Manager, Eagle Point Software

30 Module Summary In this module we will we will create section views, schedules, and reports of the model. We will also use the annotation tools in Autodesk® Revit® to detail some of the views. We will also export the model so it can be used for coordination in other applications such as AutoCAD® Civil 3D® and Autodesk® Navisworks®.

31 Concept View tools Annotation

32 Concept Model export options for coordination and collaboration:
Autodesk® AutoCAD® drawing files (DWG) AutoCAD® Civil 3D® building site file (ADSK) Autodesk® Navisworks® cache (NWC) * Autodesk® 3ds Max Design® (FBX) * Surface data (XML) using Siteworks for Revit®
