FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. All seniors are encouraged to submit their FAFSA. Students can file their FAFSA as early as October 1st. Students who submit their FAFSA may be eligible for grants, loans, and work study opportunities to help pay for their education or training after high school. Come and get free expert help completing your FAFSA or WASFA at this event. A parent must attend with student if student is 24 years old or younger. 16 Fall/Winter Timeline JUNIORS SENIORS
Check college deadlines. Get organized. Attend APPtober! Letter of Recommendation requests (Give 2 weeks) Take ACT/SAT Begin to organize regular decision applications and financial aid forms, which will be due in January and/or February. Keep up the scholarship search – Check in at the Career Center. Oct. 1st…First chance to file the FAFSA. The sooner you complete it, the sooner you will have an idea of your financial aid options. Begin researching and making a potential list of post-secondary options Career Center – come to the college visits PSAT in October Start SAT/ACT prep – Take the test at least ONE TIME your Junior Year Go to the NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR IN SEATTLE Friday, October 31st & Saturday, November 1st

JUNIORS SENIORS Register for the SAT or ACT. Make sure that your grades remain high! Volunteer work Visit colleges By the end of summer your student should narrow their college list Decide if you will re-take SAT/ACT your senior year Don’t slack in the classroom. The college that you do attend will want to see your second semester transcript. No Senioritis! 2P’s Exit Interviews 30 hours of Community Service Resume Interview Questions Graduation at Saint Martin’s Pavilion on June 7th Limited # of tickets Must have all fines & fees paid Must be “on track”
