2 Review Social Security Policy: A part of social welfare policies on how to cope with social risks Social Insurance – As a preventive approach, the insured should contribute their premium while they are able and receive benefits when they confront social risks. Public Assistance – As a remedial approach, the poor can receive welfare benefits through means-testing. Social Allowance – As a citizen, people can receive welfare benefits regardless of their economic status if they just meet demographic criteria such as child, older person, the disabled.

13 Principles of Social Work Administration
Effectiveness (효과성): The degree of clients’ needs met through the program or service. Efficiency (효율성): The extent to achieve maximum output through minimum input. Equity (형평성): Whether the clients who have the same needs can receive the same service in a fair way. Accessibility (접근성): whether the client who intends to use social services can easily access to the agency which provide the services.

Planning- to foam agency/program goals and objectives and to determine relevant activities and processes to achieve the goals and objectives Organizing- to allocate respective roles of staffs to construct the organizational structure based on these role allocations Staffing- to include all staff managements such as employment, termination of contract, training and education, and creation of cooperative working environment Directing- To give a specific order or instruction on the duties to each staff Coordination- To connect with all different parts in the agency for effective communication and efficient decision-making (i.e., committees) Reporting- Need to report what the agency is doing to all relevant stakeholders such as community, client groups, committees, and so on. Budgeting- To manage financial resources including planning of budget, expenditure, and audit Evaluation- To assess the processes and outcomes of program implementation based on the agency goals and objectives
