2 TAKING UP THE PRACTICE TEST!
We’re going to spend today’s class looking at the exemplars and scoring guides that EQAO uses to mark the OSSLT. STUDENTS NEED THEIR COMPLETED PRACTICE BOOKLETS FROM WEDNESDAY.

3 Flip through the Answer Booklet and mark the Multiple Choice!

4 Read through the Series of Paragraphs Scoring Guide

5 SOP Exemplars! On the handout, look at the exemplars for Level 30, 40 and 50. Read the annotation for each exemplar. What do you notice: about the structure of the 50 vs. the 30? Hint: # of paragraphs the transition words(hint: look at the beginning of paragraphs) use of examples(hint: look in body paragraphs to see how the reasons & examples are connected) 4. Go to your SOP. Read it over. Use the scoring guide to give yourself a score. 6. List what you can improve.
