3. The USA is situated in the central part of the North American continent. Its western coast is washed by the Pacifc Ocean. Its eastern coast is washed by the Atlantic Ocean

5. The population of the country is about 260 million people of different races and nationalities who immigrated to the United States hundreds of years ago in search of a better life.

6. As the country occupies nearly half of the continent it has almost all types of climate. The landscape also has nearly all the varieties like high mountains and prairies, valleys and deserts, the areas of tropical heat and arctic cold. The USA has thousands of rivers and lakes.
