3 Welcome to the USA. The project is about the USA. We’ve chosen this topic because we think the USA is a very beautiful and unusual country.

4 The flag of the USA consists of 50 stars and 13 stripes. It is called “Stars and Stripes.”

6 The United States of America is situated on the continent of North America. The coasts of the country are washed by the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.

7 There are fifty states in the USA.

8 The mountain chains are situated in the western and eastern parts of the USA: the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachians.

9 The GREAT LAKES Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, Lake Michigan, Lake Superior and Lake Erie are Great Lakes are situated in the northern part of the US.

10 The capital of the USA is Washington, D.C.

11 CITIES. There are many big cities in the United States: New-York, Philadelphia, Houston, Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles.

16 Statue of Liberty The statue of Liberty was built in New- York Harbor in 1886. It was a gift from the people of France. The statue of Liberty is America’s symbol of freedom.
