6. 1. Know the Syllabus
This is the first step for any exam you are going to give. The IIT Jam exam has been conducted for 7 subjects.
Choose the subject which follow your stream & find out the topic firstly .

7. 2. Know the Exam Pattern
The duration of exam will be 3 hours. The exam will full objective type. There will be three sections for this exam.
Section A: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) – 30 questions
Section B: Multiple Select Question (MSQ) – 10 questions
Section C: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions-20 questions
There will be total of 60 questions carrying 100 marks.
