6. How does Galileo work? So, how does Galileo Work?
Saas architecture makes Galileo easy to use and maintain: (1) data will be collected from your site  (2) data is then encrypted and sent securely to our hosted facility  (Final) the data will be available anytime and anywhere via a browser.
Now, Regarding Your Site…. Your “site” can be anywhere – at your location, in the cloud or a mix.
Light weight agents (less than 1% CPU) will be installed in your environment where they will collect data from Servers, Storage devices and SAN switches & directors.
Implementation of the agents is quick and takes less 1 hour to have the agents installed and to be capturing and sending data! Once implemented, you will be able to be running reports in Galileo!
We support major Operating systems, Storage Devices & San Fabrics:
Operating systems (AIX, VIOS, Linux, IBMi, Solaris, Windows, VMWare),
Storage devices (the entire IBM Suite – including XIV, Flash, SVC) also Infinibox, Netapp and DDN) and
All SAN Fabrics (Brocade and CISCO).
The agent collects performance, capacity & configuration data only!
Once data is collected by the agent, it is encrypted and sent through port 443 outbound only
Optionally we support a proxy server as well
There is no personally identifiable information sent..
The encrypted data is sent securely over the internet to our hosted facility.
At that time, data is accessible anytime and anywhere via a secure https connection via web browser.
Once collected, you are able to login to Galileo – using a username and password.
Where the performance, capacity and configuration data is accessible in an easy to use dashboards for decision making.
