History of Legacy Connections Founded in 2010; modeled after Heritage Services in Omaha, NE Supported the Renovation Project – University-Like Approach since 2015 Life-To-Date (since 2010) Raised $18.5M in gross gifts/pledges (through 2022) $16M towards Capital Improvement projects $1.2M towards Area H Perimeter Project $750,000 towards Legacy operations Transferred $8.2M to the RBOC

Legacy’s Key Mission To preserve, protect, and enhance the Rose Bowl Stadium’s future within the Arroyo Seco by providing private funding in support of improvements within the venue and its surrounding areas. Recent Success (since 2015) $1.9M in new gross gifts/pledges $2.5M in new gross gifts/pledges Approx. 200 donors (170 are new since 2015) Average Gift Amount - $45,642 (2016) Community Involvement

Legacy’s Future Plans Launched silent phase of major Centennial capital Fundraising campaign in 2017 Goal: $30M-$40M to provide new, private funding for several vital areas of need at the venue Timeline: 3-5 Years Co-Chairs: Mickey Segal (Legacy President) and Ron Okum (Legacy VP)

Legacy solicited and is in the process of finalizing a lead gift of $10M from a private, respected philanthropist Donor has strong ties to the Rose Bowl Game, UCLA, and the Rose Bowl Stadium. Largest commitment in Legacy’s history Donor recognition would be recognized by naming the Stadium field, in his family’s honor Exposure not as extensive as traditional naming rights

16 History of Donor Naming Opportunities
May 20, 2013 – Council approved an amendment to the Operating Agreement in order to provide maximum Naming Rights Opportunities to the RBOC and Legacy within the Stadium fence line RBOC agreed to return to Council for discussion and approval of the pledge amount for the Field Naming rights Examples of Other Donor Naming Projects: Tunnels, Historic Moments Photos, Historic Benches, Rose Bushes, Pavilion elements, Locker Room areas, Court of Champions

Secured philanthropic gift to support the creation and installation of the first commemorative statue in venue history Civic, Athletic, and Pasadena Icon, Jackie Robinson in football uniform for Pasadena Junior College Timeline: Completed in Fall 2017 Location: In front of Gate A, within a redesigned rose garden Artist: Brian Hanlon, Hanlon Sculpture Studios Arts & Culture Commission will review on July 12 Initial renderings and location have been reviewed and approved by the Robinson family, including Jackie’s widow Rachel, as well as by the Jackie Robinson Foundation Community Enhancement: Update plaque at Pepper Street home and add a plaque at the home of Mack Robinson
