9 Writing Write Almudena’s letter of application to Global TV.
Dear sir/ Madam, I am writing with reference to your advertisement for a Production Secretary in the…of …. I graduated form Madrid University in 1994 with a degree in Modern European languages. My first full-time job was as a support secretary for the Training Director of a company which ran courses for software designers and IT managers. Since 1996 I have been working as a bilingual secretary for a large international publishing company. I am very interested in the position because I would like to use my languages. I am enthusiastic about working for a TV company and feel that I have the flexibility, motivation and communication skills you require. Please find enclosed my curriculum vitae and a photo. I look forward to hearing from you.

Could you tell me which countries you have dealt with? America, Britain and Italy 2. Could you tell me how good your French is? It is not as good as my English and Italian. 3. Could you tell me how many words a minute you can type? About 50 wpm.

The main reason was languages, I never got to use my languages. 5. Could you tell me a bit about which program you use? At the moment I use Microsoft Word, in my last job, I also used Powerpoint for our presentations. 6. Did you design the presentations yourself? The training Director planned them, but I had to do the cultural work and make sure it worked properly during the presentations.
