How to Become a Part of Edge Soccer Academy

2 Form a Roster ESA recommends that coaches and managers do their best to form rosters with players and parents who have similar views on the amount time, money and travel that they want to invest.

3 Each Player Must Claim a Status
A full time player is someone who is committed to attending at least 90% of all games/practices and tournaments. A part time player is someone who has other commitments (church, other sports etc.) during the season which prohibit them from attending 90% of games.

4 Make Sure Your Roster Meets ESA Requirements

5 Prepare for a Team Meeting
Coaches Should Bring Parents Should Bring Managers Should Bring Signed Coaches Contract Completed EDGE COACH/MANAGER INFO FORM A head shot photo A signed player/parent contract. 6 Have a Team Meeting Collect documents and information from parents, coaches, and managers (all underlines forms in last slide). Discuss goals for the season Number of tournaments/games Practice time and location Financial commitment (refund policy, estimated amount to be paid/player, date fees are due etc.). Coaching philosophy / expectations Managerial expectations of parents Club expectations: see policies and procedures manual.

7 What do I do with all of these Documents?
You will use the documents you collect at your team meeting to register your team. These documents will be sent to ESA via Dropbox Signed Coaches Contract Signed Manager Contract Signed Player Parent Contract Birth Certificate (new Edge players only) Head Shot Photo (new Edge players only) US Club Medical Waiver (new Edge players only) You will use these documents to complete registration through edgesocceracademy.net under the registration tab. EDGE COACH/MANAGER INFO FORM EDGE PLAYER PARENT INFO FORM Financial Estimate (next slide) Team Payment ($140/player)

8 Season Financial Estimate
After the Team Meeting Create a financial estimate based on feedback from the team meeting. Must use this format when you register on our web-site EXAMPLE Travel Team Season Financial Estimate (Per Player) Edge Soccer Fee $140.00/player Tournament Fees $200.00/player Field Use Fees $75.00 Uniform Fee $90.00 Misc Fee $100.00 Total Fee / player $575.00

9 Electronically Compile Dropbox Documents on your laptop
Create a team folder on your laptop “U-12 girls Coachname” Individually scan and label the documents you collected at your team meeting. Be sure to title each document individually so we can identify it when you send it into us. Example file names: “Johnny Bravo Player/Parent Contract” (one for each player) “Johnny Bravo Birth Certificate” (one for each player) “Johnny Bravo head shot photo” (one for each player) “Johnny Bravo US Club Medical Waiver” (one for each player) “Campbell coach contract” (one for all coaches) “Campbell manager contract” (one for all managers)

10 How to Send Edge Your Team Documents
When you are ready to submit your scanned documents to the club, send a request to submit files to “I have all of my files ready for my U-12 girls team. How can I submit them to the club?” You will get an reply with a link. Click the link and upload your documents from your computer to your team Dropbox link. Please double check that all documents are clearly individually labeled. Save this link in case you need to add players later in the season. Note: you do not need to create a Dropbox account. We will receive the files as soon as they are uploaded.

11 Last Step!!! Go to www.edgesocceracademy.net
Click on the registration tab Select fall/spring season Input your team info You collected this at your team meeting from EDGE PLAYER PARENT INFO FORM and EDGE COACH MANAGER INFO FORM Provide your team financial estimate for the season. This should be the same breakdown you provide to all parents. Complete your registration by paying your total team fee ($140/player x # of players on roster) via debit or credit card (PayPal also accepted).

13 Create a Team Binder You will need a team binder in order to compete in tournaments/games. Your binder must be with your team at all times. Here is what is in the team binder. US Club Medical Release Forms: Save the hard copy for each player and place these in your binder Player Cards: We will these to you after team registration. Print, cut and laminate these and put them in your binder. Copies of official roster: we will this to you after your team registration. Print 10 copies because they will check this form at tournaments.
