6 STEP 1: MOULD P_X P_X P_X P_X

7 STEP 2: SKIN M_X M_X M_X M_X M_X M_X 1 2 Mix Vytaflex 60 parts A and B ( 15 ml of each) with a few drops of black dye. Place in vacuum chamber for 5 min. 3 4 Spray mould release on the positive and negative moulds. Pour silicon into the negative to just above the top row of pins.

8 5 6 7 8 9 STEP 2: SKIN Let it set for at least 16 hours
(preferably in an oven at 40 deg). Press down the mould positive over it, taking care to keep it horizontal. 7 8 Remove from mould and cut off excess silicon. Paint tips white. 9 Skin.

9 Place skin inside out (pins pointing up) into the mould.
STEP 3: FLESH M_X M_X M_X 1 2 Mix RTV27906 parts A and B (20 ml of each). Place in a vacuum chamber for 5 min. 3a 3b Place skin inside out (pins pointing up) into the mould.

10 4 5 6 STEP 3: FLESH Pour the gel to the top row of pins.
Place in an oven and leave to dry for at least 24 hours. 6 Flesh.

11 1 2 3 4 STEP 4: LED RING Extra pic of someone soldering.
M_X M_X M_X M_X M_X 1 2 Extra pic of someone soldering. You may need a microscope. Fix the led ring to a work surface using blu-tack, with solder pads visible. Solder the six surface-mount resistors to the circuit. 3 4 Solder the six LEDs, making sure they are the right way around. Turn over the ring and solder the cables, with ground on the outside ring.

12 STEP 4: LED RING 5 6 Fit the ring in the base, with LEDs facing down. Feed the cables through the inside groove and hole in the base. 7 Extra pic of lens being glued on.

13 STEP 5: ASSEMBLY Instructions:
Previous assembly skin with flesh M_X M_X M_X Instructions: Slowly lower the base onto the skin and flesh. (PIC) Avoid twisting so as not to spoil the flesh. Tie cable tie around base’s notch. Screw base and mount together. (make sure cables come out of mount) Fix camera onto mount. Connect cables : split USB, use red and black cables Connect to LED ring, use electrical tape to avoid short circuits. Depending on printing quality, holes may need to be drilled to make sure they are the correct size. Tip: An extra cable tie may be needed for very intensive use of the TacTip. (PIC)

14 STEP 6: CAMERA M_X Previous assembly 1 2 Remove the webcam’s clip. Keep hold of the small screw. Using a screwdriver, peel off the black part on the front of the webcam. 3 4 Undo the 2 screws that are now exposed and remove the front part of the webcam. Use the small screw previously saved to secure the webcam.

15 STEP 6: CAMERA 5 6 At the back of the removed lens is the IR filter. To remove it, make a V notch in the plastic with a craft knife. 7 8 Use the knife to remove the IR filter, being careful not to scratch the lens beneath. Follow the above steps in reverse to reassemble the webcam. 9 10 Cover the blue light on the front of the webcam. Fit the camera into the TacTip mount. Unscrew the lens assembly.
