The Wellness Center (C249) offers a wide variety of services for all students. The Wellness Center primarily deals with issues concerning emotional health and physical health.

4 Common Issues the WC Can Assist With
Adjustment to College Life Alcohol/Drug Use Disorders Depression Diversity and Cultural Differences Domestic Violence Issues Eating & Body Image Concerns Family Difficulties Financial Stressors Friendship Problems Grief and Loss Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer & Questioning, and Asexual Concerns (LGBTQA) Recovering from Trauma Relationship Problems Self-Awareness/Self-Care Stress and Anxiety Suicide Issues

5 Student Information All students attending LaGuardia are eligible for assistance from the Wellness Center Wellness Center can help students apply for Medicaid Students with more serious issues will be referred to specialized professionals For International Students: Wellness Center will find language assistance when needed and available.

6 How can the WC Help? Short-term counseling is available for 18 weeks.
The Wellness Center offers referrals for extended care or specialized services. Various co-curricular activities for stress management, depression, emotional support workshops are available.
